SUMMER COMPETITIVE TEAM TRYOUTS ON MAY 18 & 19

Summer Competitive Baseball is great fun for competitive play for ages 8 and up.

Trying out for a sports team (or any type of competition) is a great experience and skill to have for players. Players learn to prep, work hard and focus for a tryout. They learn to understand how to improve and how to accept praise. Regardless of outcome, going through the process has benefits that will teach them for years to come.

We play with different leagues for different age groups to get the best competition and to allow for the most players to play.

The Summer program runs mid-June to the end of July. We will create as many teams as we can based on registration and we may have cuts based on ability and slots available. If you register to play, we assume you will be there for the majority if not all games.

Players ages 8-14 are playing with the Hockomock Summer program. They play games during the week, no weekends, and will have half the games at home and half on the road.

Players 15-18/19 (birth date dependent) will be eligible to play with CSMBR as "The Bulldogs" as we have been known in the past. Players need not attend tryouts, but please sign up, and the coach will be reaching out to you separately depending on registrations.

Players 19 - 23 will be part of our team in the Massasoit league. Need not be from Bellingham to be part of our team - and need not attend evaluations, but please sign up and the coach will reach out to you separately.

As a reminder:

- players age 8-12 must have played BYBI Spring 2024 season. Their age is their Spring Baseball Age (age by 4/30)

- for our players age 13-18, to be eligible for BYBI Summer Baseball, they need to have ONE of the following criteria: playing in Spring 2024 for BYBI Senior League; playing Middle/High School teams for Bellingham, BVT, or BMR in Spring 2024; being a Youth Umpire with BYBI; or being a Bellingham or Blackstone (Millville) resident.

Summer Competition Baseball teams must try out on Saturday, May 18th. (see schedule below). Your player must be signed up online prior to tryouts. There are NO sign-ups the day of tryouts. If a make-up is necessary, please reach out BEFORE May 18th to our Summer Ball Director Ryan Johnston at ryanj87@aol.com

Payment will not occur during this sign up. Following evaluations, each player's account will be sent an invoice for the amount due if they are chosen for the team. Payment must be made by 5/22/24 as shirts/hats will be ordered by that date.

Fee for Players in 8 year old will be $160 - this includes a hat and sublimation jersey with the player's name on it.

Fee for Players 9-14 will be $210 - this includes a hat and sublimation jersey with the player's name on it.

2024 BELLINGHAM BASEBALL PORTRAIT ORDERS

Hello Families!
I am so happy to be photographing Bellingham Baseball for my 9th year! Ordering will take place online via the link below:

https://www.heatherbest.com/bellinghambaseball
ALL ORDERS ARE DUE IN BY DUEDATES LISTED ABOVE. SATURDAY'S PICTURES ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, MAY 3 10PM

I review all of the orders and make my lists before I head out to the field and adding to those lists and assisting with orders can be difficult while I am in the midst of shooting.

Images are DIGITAL ONLY. Team images are complimentary with individual purchase. When paying with credit or debit please select Paypal check out and then “pay with credit or debit” you do not need a Paypal account.

In the past we offered prints/products, and you can still purchase them through the print company that will be recommended in your order email. Of course, you can print your photos wherever you like as often as you like.

Unfortunately, the ordering software has some limitations and does not allow a way for families to order multiple players or teams on the same form. I kindly ask that you submit a separate order for each player. This enables me to match your child to the order placed.

Please arrive 10 min prior to your scheduled time with your player ready to be photographed. I have a tight schedule so I will not be able to wait long for late players for team photos and I will not be able to photoshop your player into team photos.

I will make some obvious adjustments to hair and straighten out clothing but I will not ask a child to remove accessories, tuck or untuck shirts, remove glasses or change hair styles.

I will work on emailing the gallery out to the email addresses you provided in your order. These tend to go to spam so please check your junk folders. Please reach out to me if you have not received a link to the gallery with in two weeks or there is an issue so I can help you resolve it in a timely manner. Bellingham Baseball will not be able to help you with orders so it is best to contact me directly.

As always, our family is so grateful for your support! We look forward to a great year of Baseball portraits!

Jack Smith and his Capstone Project

Jack Smith builds helmet boxes

We are so grateful and proud of player Jack Smith as he presented his Capstone Project at Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School - His project was creating helmet boxes for BYBI. You all may remember last summer he held a very successful wiffle ball tournament to raise funds for the project.

Jack also received a declaration from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for all of his hard work.

We will definitely take a picture of Jack when these are installed at the field for our spring season! Congrats, Jack!
